Actually he sounds like another politician who uses his church membership to get votes and then drops them. Can anyone say, Jimmah Carter? What is your basis for that statement?

It's pretty obvious. Jimmah didn't have one problem with being a Southern Baptist until AFTER he was president. Then suddenly he realized that he and Southern Baptists didn't agree on things. Seems to me he knew that BEFORE he was president. But he wanted that big ol' voting block. Otherwise he could have severed his relationship with the group BEFORE he ran for election. The So. Baptists didn't suddenly change their views overnight.
