I still want to know why the women on the Weather Channel seem to be constantly pregnant. Two words. . . Jim Cantore.

When they talk about the Weather Vitalists I'm sure they're talking about us surfers and snowboarders. LOL!

If they would get rid of those stupid hour-long shows like "Storm Stories" and such, I'd go back to watching. Seems like they never give weather reports anymore. ...Cantore's fault My son calls him, "Jim Can't Tell A Story".
To: Phantom Lord
My son does iron work and installs; he is always calling me to give him a spot forecast for the next four hours since I use Comcast and have several sites bookmarked.
In another time I made money studying and researching both current weather and climatology; forecasting is still more art than science.

Farmers, truck drivers and aircraft pilots are probably the country's biggest "Vitalists".

I thought they were based in Atlanta, GA but I might be mistaken (or they could have moved).

Probably any of the above...anyone that might watch on a regular basis instead of only when there's weather news.

The weather channel could learn a lot from the storm threads on Free Republic. I've never seen as much micro weather news, including road conditions as I get here.
We are the weather.
Partly cloudy and 65 here in coastal OC.
Fleeing to the Arrowhead home for good by June.

Bright & sunny, 75F and 10 mph off and on breeze, here. Fantastic weather! I agree about the storm threads. They always beat the pants off TV weather people.
