Well, ANOTHER full day has gone by and I haven't been rejected for my DUmmie FUnnies book proposal by Regnery Publishing...yet. I am really tempted to just call them up but I fear rejection. It is sort of like seeing a hot woman at a dance and you think she likes you but fear to ask for a dance because she might reject you. However, if the folks at Regnery are at least INVESTIGATING the possibility of publishing the DUmmie FUnnies (with CD-ROM insert for the related comix stories) then I would be feeling a lot more confident. Hey, the SUCCESS of a DUmmie FUnnies book is a NO-BRAINER. I estimate AT LEAST 20,000 sales just from Freepers alone. Oh, and if Jeff Kleinman of the Graybill and English Literary Agency wants to hop aboard the DUmmie FUnnies train before it leaves the station, he can contact me at:
PJ-Comix.
Let me know if you want on the DUmmie FUnnies PING List.

There's another good thread over there right now:
So what ever became of the money Bev Harris collected on DU?
Good question... She raised tons of $$ on AAR too. How much, and where is it?

Those DUmmies would eat their young...
One minute - you are their king - the next minute - you are the goat.
Is this a sample of a massive bipolar disorder?

Isn't Andy Stephenson running a scam on the DUmmies now, saying he's got some dreaded disease and can't afford health care? I saw a thread a while back where he was going on and on about his test results and not being able to pay the bills. He'd appreciate "whatever help" his fellow do-gooders could provide since he was "willfully and gainfully un-employed". Now, doesn't that PROVE how dumb they have to be? When someone hits you up for money and brags about being willfully un-employed? GGGGEEEEZZZZZZ, that's funny!

PJ,
Just a quick side note. I used to always solve the "hot would be dance partner if not for my fear of rejection" problem by sending them a steady stream of alcohol to cloud their judgment. Taking a swig of courage for myself never seemed to hurt either. Also, I've been known to call places and pose as someone looking for myself to circumvent your other problem. For example, you might call Regnery and say, "Yes, is PJ available?.......you know, PJ....PJ-Comix!! I own a small publishing company and I think that his brilliant book idea would be just the boost I need. I have to find him before someone else steals my thunder - the guy's a walking gold mine...."
Hope this helps. ;o)

That disease wouldn't involve cold sores would it?

Yeah! He's at it now! Quote from Andy on DU right now: That is part of the reason I am in such a pickle. Sick...unemployed...no insurance...hoping welfare kicks in and pays my outstanding medical bills so I can have the surgery that will save my life. I was supposed to get insurance from BBV...but they never paid the premimums. SO here I sit literally, sick, sad, sorry, and sober

He's actively hitting them up now on DU. Someone posted a thread above and sure enough, poor sick Andy is whining about having to live on "donations". Guess he learned well from Bev!

Actually if/when I call Regnery I would just ask them to investigate the DUmmie FUnnies. It wouldn't take long to find out its enormous popularity. And unlike most other political books, this one would be FUNNY. Even non-political types would enjoy looking at the related comix in the CD-ROM insert.

Does that mean you want on the PING List? Remember, all PINGEEs are volunteers, NOT draftees.
