I read post #7, and don't find it applicable...in somewhat of the same manner that savedbygrace didn't find the article applicable to my earlier comments.
And with respect to savedbygrace's response to me, no, I agree that the article doesn't suggest that sort of correlation. My reaction is based partly on frustration from feeling as though I'm being told that I am a sub-standard mother because I work full time. My admittedly anecdotal post was also partly based upon the article's anecdotal evidence. I think it's crap.
I see my daughter in the morning and evening(she commutes with me, her daycare is a couple blocks from my office), we eat dinner together every night, and we read and play together before she goes to bed. I am completely UNconflicted about our situation, because I know she is happy, intelligent, well-adjusted, and healthy.
