ATC Announces Cyber-Attack

On January 11, 2005, the Anti-Terrorism Coalition (ATC) was attacked by unknown hackers. Around 6 pm Eastern Standard time, January 11, 2005, the ATC-owned Facts About Islam website was attacked. All of the accounts on which it was hosted on were completely destroyed within an hour. Shortly after the attacks, a message was posted by one of the suspected attackers:
"I WILL CONTINUE HACKING DOWN YOUR FILTHY ZIONIST SCUM WEBSITES UNTIL THEY DISAPEER! ALAHU AKBAR! f***ink k***s!"
The ATC immediately went to a Red Alert and increased its security. Early on January 12, ATC's host and Super Verticals (the company that provided the urls for the ATC) got attacked as well, this made all remaining ATC sites unreachable, including the famous database of terrorists websites from the ATC. But as Super Verticals also provided urls to other websites, hundreds of websites that used a Super Vertical url got unreachable as well.
By January 13, the host was completely offline, making all ATC websites, including the main ATC website, the famous ATC's Database of Terrorist Websites and eGroups, the ATC Intelligence website, the ATC & FAI Guestbook, and other websites unreachable. All other websites, hosted by Freeurl were also destroyed.
The ATC's Intelligence Department, the ATCI, secretly ruled the attacks on Super Verticals as technical difficulties, in order to quietly investigate the attacks. By February 1, 2005, the ATC had found several of the attackers involved, along with several suspected attackers. The ATC refused to disclose any details found in the ongoing investigation. "It is vital to this investigation that we do not release any details at this time," stated a high-ranking ATC official.
"We are making progress in this investigation. The evildoers will be in shock and awe when they find out what we know," hinted an anonymous ATC Intelligence member.
This attack was not the first Mega-Cyber Terrorist Attack on the ATC. On June 27, 2003, 8-27 anti-terrorist websites, including the ATC, FAI (then called AMS), Anti-Jihad International, and others were attacked. The Hindu Unity website and the now extinct Our Enemies website were targeted by the attackers, but before they could attack, the ATC retaliated, hence ending the threat at the time. The 1/11 Terrorist Attack was executed in a somewhat similar style, according to the ATC. "Except, this time, we were a greater threat to them and they took out a whole company just to get to us," added Vice President B.
During the last three weeks, the ATC has upgraded its security. Asked when the ATC would return, ATC President Stalfos stated, "We had to endure many attacks but this is the bigest attack on the ATC. It's obvious that we cannot longer work in this position. As soon as the ATC becomes popular, it gets attacked. The ATC will remain shut down this time until we have a better security" Stalfos said.
While the ATC is on the verge of coming back, hundreds of websites that have nothing to do with terrorism have been down for weeks now and they will not come back. Cyber terrorist attacks of this magnitude are known to carry high prison sentences.
"What makes the 1/11 Terrorist Attacks so big is that so many sites that had nothing to do with this issue were destroyed. The ATC sends its condolences and support to the victims of these attacks. In the meantime, the ATC asks all its allies to be patient, before the ATC returns. We will find the attackers and we will hunt them down. We will not be influenced by terrorist thugs. We shall return," added Benyamin B.

Well this is the second time I posted the article. It was taken off the first time for "language" reasons. I think the mods misunderstood that that was what one of the attackers that claimed responsibility said.
The f-word and the k-word (the Anti-Semitic slur) are both, therefore, filtered this time around.
