"I’ve listened to him talk to people about a statement I made many years ago when we were watching a news program about a woman whose family won a court battle to have her life-sustaining equipment removed. I suppose I made a comment about not wanting to be kept alive by machines, and Michael is using that casual reference as his reason for letting me die. There should be tougher standards used when someone like me is still struggling for life, but unable to make it known. My parents have said that they’ll take care of me, and Michael can go on with his life. Yet, he seems determined to end mine before he can be happy in his.

This is truly the nightmare for us all! I'm impressed by the powerful emotions in the writing of a former detective of the NYPD!

Also, I'll be most curious to see the progress made by this woman who recently came out of a 20 yr coma, not to mention to hear what she has to say.

You have been misled by an agendized media that has failed to provide the whole story. She's brain-damaged, not PVS. This case is about whether we will leave it to a government official to determine whether a person who reacts to her surroundings and recognizes people is worthy of living. She could be trained to be spoon-fed, but the judge has forbidden it. How could someone who is 'gone' be eligible for such training?

Such a means of killing is illegal to perpetrate upon a dog.

Did anyone see ER this evening?

Concerned a woman who had a stroke and who was in the ER
on a ventilator. You could hear her voice throughout the
program, talking to the doctors, her husband and just
thinking.

After a procedure that removed a blood clot from her brain,
she was just fine - up and talking.

Strange similarity!
