HILLARY RIPS BUSH: WARNS OF 'IRREPARABLE HARM' TO NATION

Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton blasts President Bush and his "radical" administration on Saturday for attempting to dismantle the "central pillars of progress in our country during the 20th century."

Clinton makes the comments to Saturday editions of the HOUSTON CHRONICLE.

The former first lady says she has become convinced the Republican administration wants "to undo the New Deal," the Roosevelt-era policies that ushered in Social Security and a host of other governmental assistance programs.

She said that Bush, who campaigned as a "compassionate conservative" in 2000, had taken a "hard-right turn to pursue an extremist agenda" after moving into the White House.

"I don't know where it came from, but the fact is that this President Bush has not only been radical and extreme in terms of Democratic presidents but in terms of Republican presidents, including his own father," she says.

She believes Bush is beatable next year because his administration is "making America less free, fair, strong, smart than it deserves to be in a dangerous world."

"We have to change direction before irreparable harm is done," she adds.

"This administration is in danger of being the first in American history to leave our nation worse off than when they found it."

Come on Hillary, I can name some presidents that left the country worse than when they came in: Jimmy C/BjClinton..This lady really needs to come out of her ignorance bliss and remember to dust off those skeletons in her closet from time to time....

Something doesn't become a "central pillar" just because the dims declare it so. And they've already proved they don't care about the real central pillars of our society such as marriage...so this is partisan hypocrisy. In other words, par for the course for the dims.

So, I guess her brief foray in to centrism is over. Of course we want to undo the New Deal!

Seems to me Bush is trying to fix the Great Society, and repair the damage the GS did to the New Deal.

And eventually put us on a path to do away with the worst of both. (That being the part where the government transfers the wealth inefficiently from one sector to another, achieving nothing in return.)

Seriously, I get the feeling that no one is paying attention to her, so she just has to start shrieking louder and louder. The American public looks her direction for a moment, but then turns back to the President and pays attention to what he says because he is upfront with the nation.

She is insane and heaven help us if she ever gets nominated.

I believe upholding the Constitution and defending our nation and citizens would be more 'central pillars' than propping up the lazy at tax payers' expense and promisimg funds for retirement while spending it and leaving nothing more than an I.O.U. in the bank.

The only 'irreparable harm' will be to her own party, the Socialists.
