Yeah you can, but it is considered bad form to pimp your blog...the occasional "didn't I write something wonderful" or "this news needs to get out" is basically OK...

Freedom of speech can only be infringed by the government.

Freedom of speech does not mean freedom from consequences.
There is the concept of "fighting words", if you say or do anything intentionally offensive and inflammatory you might get
a punch in the mouth.

This is a member supported web sight. It is Jim's house, he makes the rules and he lets us in as long as we follow the rules.

Slinging around words like Troll are designated for people who show up in this place to start trouble and nothing else.

If this doesn't actually apply to you, then rock off your defensive heels and enjoy the hazing.

It's happened to all of us and you are simply not special enough to avoid it.

Welcome to FR.

Due to the rise in Troll activity, most newbies are sent through the "wringer". You seem to have handled it well.

Though I have seen worse and I have been through it myself, I consider it a form of initiation.

We have a very supportive collection of souls here. Though not all agree on everything, we have a tendency to come together in the end. You will like it here.

As a newbie, you should lurk through the threads and get an understanding on how things are done, and possibly at the right moment you can actually watch a "zot" in action.
