Yukoshenko's wife is actually a former American citizen and worked in Reagan's Administration. This was actually a campaign liability. (Although, I thought it was a plus!)

I stand corrected. I was under the impression that she was born Canadian. It is my understanding that she kept her American citizenship into the election. One would certainly be suspicious of a major American presidential candidate whose spouse was not only a Russian citizen, but a former employee of the Soviet Foreign Ministry. Maybe you can explain how could that be a "plus" and why was it a "plus" in the recent Ukrainian elections?
