Glen Beck is genuinely hilarious, and has a great mix between political/entertainment content, sound effects, impressions, and plain ol' fun! He's probably my 2nd or 3rd favourite guy on the talk radio airwaves.
He has a wonderful rapport with his audience, and let's his callers - call him A SICK FREAK! (ok, you have to listen for a while for this to make sense). What I really like is that he's an honest host, not towing a party line, but holding to his values and common sense. He's not running a debate class like some of the other hosts, arguing a point that doesn't even make sense. Glenn Beck was an alcoholic with a dim future, but now has a great career - and hopefully a long one, in Talk Radio. Give him a try!
Beck is good -- I enjoy him!! No doubt as to his entertainment value.
"Murray Head weekend"
Thats Glenn with two N's you sick freak!!
Now get off MY PHONE!!!
His show is what I'd expect from a desperate nightclub act in some seedy dive, far, far off the Strip.
I have to say that his World Series of "Go Fish" and his Moron Trivia are two of my favorite bits on radio.
Glenn is funny but he doesn't know when to move on, which is the most valuable intuition for a talk host to have.
His first name's Murray...
His last name's Head...
IT'S MURRAY HEAD!!!!
Glenn Beck reminds me of the bad comedian in Brave New World.
A clever wordsmith masquerading as a sick freak has a shot. A sick freak pretending to be a sick freak is --a sick freak.
Beck has WAY too many personal issues, which intrude very inappropriately into his schtick, which is a one-note hobby horse of mocking everyday American folks.
Beck saw his high-water mark with his national Support the Troops tour a couple years ago. It's been all down hill and into the barn ever since.
Yeah, I'd say a seedy dive IS Glenn Beck's natural habitat. Or maybe an out-of-the-way county jail somewhere in southern Georgia after a bad DUI. He won't be sober five years from now, and won't be on national radio.
