Babs Boxer's "Progressive Punch" Rating(Numbers don't lie!)
Progressive Punch-Leading from the Left ^

Posted on 01/26/2005 12:55:17 PM PST by CT CONSERVATIVE

After going through a number of steps and gyrations, we came up with a list of seven hard-core progressive United States Senators (7% of that body) and 38 hard-core progressive United States Representatives (about 9% of that body). The algorithm that we've used to come up with these progressive scores is that we take ANY VOTE in which a majority of those progressives--so in the House say, if there were no absences, it would be 20 of the 38--voted in contradistinction to a majority of the Republican caucus then that vote then qualifies for the database. The same process is used in the Senate. So, non-ideological votes such as National Groundhog Day: 429-0 with 6 absences, do not qualify for the database. Any vote in which a majority of progressives vote against a majority of Republicans qualifies for the database. The number of votes which qualify using this algorithm remains remarkably constant from one Congress to another Ð about half of all votes cast.

"Progressive", just the latest euphemism for "Socialist" which is a euphemism for COMMUNIST.

that is why I was arguing earlier to someone that McCain is not really a RINO like some say. He only gets the negative news but I've always said these for are the worst with Collins not nearly as bad cause I think she actually mean well.....the others......blind

Some will label a congressman a RINO over a single issue, or even a single vote. I think McCain likes to rock the boat for TV appearances mostly. Some of his public comments have doubtless hurt the party, but his voting record is comfortably among the best.

My esteemed Senator Tom "Dungheap" Harkin (D-Bahamas) ranks no better than 13th?!! Oh, the shame. I expect he will do whatever he can to improve on that...

Oh, wait a second. The Dungheap is up for re-election in '06. Thus, his usual "populist" move toward the center. Before you know it, he'll be in a flannel shirt and jeans and will be actually VISITING all us little folks back "home" in dear, ol' Ioway.
