Bush has fallen into a state that is the embodiment of arrogance. Succumbing to the temptation of power, Bush has become corrupt, which is the inevitable consequence when one prefers power over truth. He has fallen into a vicious cycle where he has become addicted to power. Bush and his regime are compulsively driven to do everything and anything they can to hold onto the position of power they find themselves in. Not only do they not see the depraved nature of the situation they have fallen into, they don't want to see it. Being in the role of having power, there is a counter-incentive to self-reflect, which just reinforces the strength of the pathogen.

I think this guy needs to be sanctioned for practicing psychology without a clue. What the libs consider to be corruption in the Bush Admin is policy differences. If they want examples of actual rampant corruption, they only need to reference the previous administration - which I doubt this nimrod bothered criticizing.

Psychobabble Double-Speak award

It takes the guy at least 10 paragraphs to finally spit out his point, which is that Bush = Hitler and Americans who voted for him = Nazi supporters.

We can view Bush and his entire Administration (Cheney, Rumsfeld, Rice, Wolfowitz, etc), as well as the corporate, military industrial complex that they are co-dependently enmeshed with, the media that they control, the voters that support them, and ourselves as well, as interconnected parts of a whole system, or a "field."

Too bad Levy apparently failed to take a writing class while he was in college otherwise overeducating himself. His abuse of commas borders on the sadistic.

Naming the disease, we are able to (alchemically)
contain it, so that it can't possess us from behind
and act itself out through us unconsciously.

So you mean, our entire universe could be just a tiny molecule in the fingernail of some giant being...and...and...here in my fingernail could be millions and millions of tiny universes?

Wow....

Well Paul, I'd suggest you try the same thing Marilyn Monroe used to get out of a first date with Teddy Kennedy. Some scotch and pills....

"...Levy is an innovator in the field of dreaming..."

One could also say that he is living in a dreamworld, too!

If I contantly employ the use of ponderous verbage and continuous run on sentence structures people will become cognizant of the fact that I am intelligent and therfore I will easily be able to promote my wack-a-doo arguments and coo-coo-ca-cho logic in a manner that emphasizes my monsterous pomposity and progressive ideology.

What is more astounding?

That someone would take the time to write this overly long curiosity . . .

. . . or that that person expects that ANYONE would actually read the entire thing!

From this spank's website:

"In 1981 Paul Levy had a life-changing spiritual awakening, in which he began to wake up to the dream-like nature of reality. During the first year of his spiritual emergence, Paul was hospitalized a number of times, and was diagnosed with having had a severe psychotic break."

A-hem....

Yeah, and one of them became psychotic. The other went on to write rambling, incoherent articles.

Don't you see? He's a Wounded Healer...a Shaman who has taken a Hero's Journey through the Dark Side so that he can gain Mindful Compassion and become a Spiritual Warrior against GWB, who's standing in for the Daddy he's still rebelling against in middle age. (Not to mention Bush voters, who in his psyche are the emotional equivalent of the high-school jocks who doubtlessly made his life hell over 40 years ago.)

Best part...
Paul Levy, a healer in private practice, is profiled in the book Saints and Madmen: Psychiatry Opens its Doors to Religion. Steeped in and inspired by the work of Swiss-German psychoanalyst C. G. Jung, Levy is an innovator in the field of dreaming. He has had over forty articles published on consciousness, dreaming and spirituality, and has lectured about his work at various universities. A Tibetan Buddhist practitioner for over 20 years, he has studied with some of the great masters of Tibet and Burma. Inspired by the Bush Administration, Levy describes himself as "a spiritually-informed political activist." He is currently writing a book about his work.
pretty much discredits the entire article.
