If you want to fully understand the foundation of Bush's inaugural speech, you must read the book that inspired it-- Natan Sharansky's "The Case For Democracy: The Power of Freedom to Overcome Tyranny and Terror".
Hey thanks for the info.
More people die. . .at the hands of their own government; than by war.
Peace? Not without 'freedom' first.
Forget the old 'flower-power'. . .forget the 'make Peace/not WAR. . .
Instead. . .just let us help 'make FREEDOM'. . .and PEACE, will follow.
(and. . .yes, of course world is not perfect; and will never be;but we can only strive to make it better - for more people. Then, the world at least, is a little safer. . .not less.)
An entirely worthy call for any nation to rise to. . .
That said. . .will look for this book as well. And Professor R.J. Rummel can be found by an easy google. . .
(heard earlier someone in Media, quoting Kant, I think. . as well. . .re Bush's speech.)
That is next on my list after I finish "The Pentagon's New Map"
