As someone born in 1970, that is the impression I had and my parent's reinforced when I had teenage friends who idolized the 60's.
Well, don't be too hard on your parents... It was a wonderful concept that just went real bad real quick. If nothing else the computer age will open peoples' eyes to the truth of what happens in a timely manner and not after it's been filtered thru MSM.
