I am tired of people starting a letter stating they are a conservative, a right wing kind of guy, or they voted for the president, but
If you need to preface a letter with these phrases, then you arent and you didnt. I can tell by reading your letter where you stand.
These same people say they are patriotic and support our troops, just not the war. First, being patriotic means loving, supporting, and defending your country. Second, upon entering military service our troops take an oath to protect this country against enemies both foreign and domestic. That protection comes from going to war and killing people. Explain to me how you can support our servicemen but not their job.
Finally, I am tired of people saying that the seven years I spent in the U.S. Marine Corps was so you can bash this administration and my country with your first amendment rights. Well heres a news flash, I didnt. I served my time so that people can enjoy a security and freedom that is enjoyed nowhere else on Gods green earth. If you dont like it, leave. Ive had it with you abusing your rights and not recognizing that they come with responsibilities.
So say what you want, exercise your first amendment rights. Just dont be offended when I exercise mine.
