No longer will the result of an election be good enough for our misguided and out of touch brethren from the left. They have watched themselves lose power over the past ten years and only recently have enough of them come to terms with the fact that they can no longer count on the old machine to work for them. Americans are becoming more involved and educated about their representatives. We are watching, and the left is in total confusion about how to convince the country to follow their ideas. Put a lot of these people together and you have DU, a place to either watch or participate in daily mass conniptions in which "facts" are invented and fantasy becomes reality.
They are not winning elections fairly so they are trying to set a precedent which they can in the future, use to manipulate the final vote. They see the system as the problem, that the election process is corrupt, and the people are simply too stupid to see the greatness of their plan. Once they change the system, they can start their new machine and once again, rise to power in government. But this plan, like many, are ultimately doomed to fail.
There are many more out there than just those folks over at DU. Read the letters sent into any newspaper in the country. The left has become unhinged, and their ramblings get weirder and weirder with each passing day.
Kind of fun to watch, isn't it?
It is fun to watch, but what it is disturbing is that you are probably right about their motive. If you can't win, destroy the legitimacy of our democracy. Very dangerous stuff.
There's one of the DUers over there asserting that not one Democrat has lost an election since 1996 - that every one of those so-called election losses was the result of Republican skulduggery. It is a mental disorder, not a political disorder.
