The San Francisco office of Senator Barbara Boxer (D-CA) denied claims that a final decision had been made on whether she would challenge the electoral college result on the floor of the Senate Thursday. Boxers Washington office has not returned RAW STORY calls for comment over the last several days.
Asked to confirm or deny reports that Sen. Boxer had made a decision to challenge, a spokesman said, The Senator has made no public statment on that, we are still taking down opinions and I can forward them to the senator.
MSNBC anchor Chip Reid reported Wednesday afternoon that Boxer was likely to challenge, but the network has not posted a story online. Rush Limbaugh also made a similar comment during his radio program Wednesday.
A source on Capitol Hill told RAW STORY that a challenge from Boxer was expected, but would not elaborate.
If Boxer did challenge, it would be the first time a senator has challenged the electoral tally since 1877.
Some suggest that it would be imprudent for Boxer to announce that she was planning a challenge in advance because it would allow others to attack the senator before the actual vote.
Rep. John Conyers (D-Mich.), the ranking Democrat on the House Judiciary Committee, recently announced that on January 6, he and several other members of the House will object to the counting of the Ohio electors.
Protesters convened Monday in the San Francisco office of Sen. Boxer to deliver petitions urging her to challenge Thursdays congressional ratification of the electoral college tally, based on alleged voting improprieties.
Developing
I would bet that the initial story was a trial balloon to see how people would react to Boxer joining that Conyers loon on contesting the Ohio electoral votes.
DU is all a buzz with this nonsense. A few radical constituents show up at her office and she thinks it's what, the will of the people. Let them! They'll look ridiculous!
BWAHAHAHAHAhahahahahaha! ! ! ! ! ! ! !
She's waiting to see what she should say!
Spineless, opinionless, directionless liberal.
Everybody call Boxer's office now and tell her to go for it.
BWAHAHAHAHA. You can help her make a decision:

That trial balloon fell quickly didn't it?
Like a lead Zeppelin.
No lie!
Conyers, of course, believes the good guys faked more votes than the scumbags. Not so! The money that Conyers spent to pay provisional voters to vote dozens of times, folks to vote for dead voters still on the books, dozens of votes from the same little home of a party loyalist and so on, was actually pocketed by union and civil rights activists.
Conyers is like the guy who slips the marked deck into the game and still loses. He knows he's been out slickered but can't say anything without incriminating himself for the marked cards.
yep, only thing is, all conyers's own fraud votes are covered in molasses by now and all our stuff is upside down in the turnip patch rotting in the sun. It better get buried quick, or were in series trouble. They ain't given up.
Huh?
The DUmmies in DUmmieland are going up and down over this; when it seems she'll contest, they praise her to high heaven, and when it seems she'll back down, they say they never liked her to begin with (incidentally, they're saying the same about John Kerry and the impeached William Clinton, going up and down.....but when down on either of them, stating they never liked him in the first place).
Conyers paid off his phony voters with turkeys...
