101st?! That's a GOOD tagline :-). My stepdad was an Army Air Corps pilot before it became the USAF. He told me that NOBODY jumps out of a perfectly good airplane! But then of course, people like you have proven him wrong! :-)
I was looking at your "about" page. Nice 1911! That's my favorite too. I've got one that whacks quarters at 50 yards and has never had a lick of work done to it! People who know me keep trying to buy it and I won't part with it. I'd like to have a trigger job done to it, but I'm afraid it won't shoot as good when I get it back!
"NOBODY jumps out of a perfectly good airplane!" When I went through jump school, we jumped C-119s.Anyone who would dare call those "perfectly good" airplanes had too much eggnog.
.45s modeled after M1911s are my all time favorites, but this one came from the factory with all the serious work done in manufacture.
All I did to it was polish the feed ramp to my specs. Great shootin' piece.
I yours hit quarters at 50, I wouldn't do any thing to it unless you feel your trigger is stiff.
I like mine to break at 4lbs; I had the factory build to that spec.
