I stayed home "sick" from school to watch Luke and Laura get married (for the first time) on General Hospital. VCRs weren't around then.

Me, too. My mother bought me a VCR so I would quit skipping school to watch Hope and Bo on DOOL.

Those were the days. I hate soap operas now.

OMG Soap Operas I was a new Mom and remember what a slut I thoght Bobbie was for always trapping Scott Baldwin into bed ticking off Laura then she got raped by Luke.....

I have not watched soaps in over twenty five years lol.

Well, theyh ad 'em then but they were an arm and a leg. B-) I remember about 1983, one of the friends I hung out with wanted a CD player so bad but $1200 was way out of reach for him. It was a huge thing for a component stereo system. I remember a yar later, he did get a MAC-10 for his 17th birthday although it was in his father's name since it was an automatic weapon. B-)
