These people can't be serious. How can they write this stuff without either laughing until it hurts or drinking until they pass out? I'm pretty sure a non-trivial percentage of them are pretenders who just try and stir the rest of them up for amusement.

I think that this is one of the best examples of liberalism that I've seen recently. They don't live in the real world. Everything must go their way or they get severely depressed and start thinking of crimes and violence against their supposed oppressors.
What's really scary is that they are sure that most people think like themselves... Get depressed and violent if they don't get their way. So, when they end up in power they enact laws and/or rules to handcuff people to keep them from behaving in ways that they would do if they weren't afraid of getting caught.
