Conspiracies “R” Us

What is it about a conspiracy that makes them believable to some otherwise intelligent people? From time to time I receive e-mails, which purport to tell me, nay prove, all manner of wild conspiracies. That President Bush is a Satan worshipper in league with the ‘real’ Prince of Darkness (who I thought was Robert Novak or Darth Vader). Apparently together they are going place the entire planet under a United Nations government with U. N. Secretary General Kofi Annan replacing Vice President Cheney as the puppet master who controls the Bush marionette. This conspiracy “theory” is currently en vogue.

Oh you can bet the Internet is chock full of this sort of nonsense, every sort of conspiracy, all of them citing 'evidence' that proves that GWB is the spawn of Satan himself, (which means that Barbara Bush was more of a party animal than anybody ever suspected) that the Bush family is an evil clique of Nazis (the whole Prescott Bush deal), GHWB's comment after the Gulf War about a 'new world order' (THAT sent the conspiratorialists into high gear!), but the one thing these nutbars forget is that IF George W. Bush was some sort of evil, demonic entity?

The world would LOVE him. As it is, the world indeed displays more hate towards this President than any other president in recent memory. Why?

Think about it. Jesus said "as the world hated Me, it will hate you" (paraphrased). And He was speaking of those who choose to follow Him, of which GWB is one of those followers. There is no doubt in my mind that our President is a Christian and if I don't meet him down here (unlikely), I will one day meet him upstairs in Our Father's House.

There is a little website in which a group of Christians share news, prophetic insights, prayers, etc., and the webmaster publishes them on a Monday thru Saturday basis, and as might be expected there are some posters there who are strong advocates for President Bush, and there are others....sheesh. Do a google search on a bozo named 'Joe Hoyle', he was the king of the konspirators until he got himself banned (no surprise), and if you're interested?

Check out the site - www.fivedoves.com

Regular posters there who actually know what they're talking about: Jim Bramlett, Tom Gaston, MJ Martin, Frank Molver, just to name a few.

ENjoy! :)

Because sometimes they are true.  It took intelligent people to expose the Rathergate conspiracy, you know.
The opposite of paranoia is probably, "Damn.  What am I doing in here?  I'm innocent!"

Ummm ... somehow a post about conspiracies by 'Templar Knight' strikes me as ironic.

Nothing that says GHWB wasn't the party animal, is there? If we're going to go there, why not spike the Kool-Aid?

Actually, there is a quote refuting GWHB's alleged party animal activities, when invited to the annual Skull & Bones 'Salute To Satan' Extravaganza, Bush Sr. said "No, wouldn't be prudent. Got a Congressional race in Texas to gear up for. But give my regards."

Seriously now, the beverage of choice is actually not Kool-Aid, but Purple FLAVORAID, the choice of Jim Jones himself, now rightly burning eternally in the nether regions.

Enjoy your weekend/week!
