I know that many political websites are for informed exchange of ideas, humor, and for pushing forward our agendas, conservative or liberal, but at the DU they have gone too far. They have desecrated our flag by putting swashtikas with our stars. I hope that we never lose sight of what is important like the opposition has.

DU is full of psychotic losers.
On a sportbike board I frequent, the question, "How do you feel about flag burning?" was asked. I posted that I feel it is a person's constitutionally protected right of free speech that allows him to do so. But doing such a thing inflames passions and the person doing should not be surprised at being the recipient of such passions.
I don't care what anyone says, Ann Coulter is right . . . most liberals really do hate America.
Yesterday I was in one of my law classes and a resident liberal in my section and I were instant messaging during a break, and I shot her a link, I think many of you have seen, with some Arabian jerk trying to set an American flag on fire, but actually going up in flames himself. It was tuned to one of those Mastercard "priceless" commercials. I thought it was funny, but she said it depressed her. I asked her why, and she told me she's sad that we made people feel like they had to burn our flag. It's that "Blame America" MO that loses elections. I seriously doubt while the bombs were falling on Afghanistan that the Taliban and Al Qaida were thinking "Why do they hate us?"
*sigh*
I have as good a sense of humor as anyone, but I believe that we should respect out National symbols, especially our flag. I support freedom of speech but burning the flag is a no-no.
"A man who thinks of himself as belonging to a particular national group in America has not yet become an American." --Woodrow Wilson"
