I'm just wondering..how does the re-election of Bush really affect these people? I admit, I would have been very bummed if Bush had lost, but I just can't imagine sinking to this level of hatred, anger and insanity.

I think these people need to get a life. A bad president can't ruin this country, so I felt like even if Kerry won the US would stand and survive it. Jeeze, the left is having a major meltdown.

This greenbriar DUmmie reminds me of the dance teacher in the movie, The Dancer Upstairs. The dance teacher was teaching the daughter of a police investigator. When he found out the dance teacher was a secret member of a Shining Path type terrorist organization, she dropped her calm demeanor and started screaming with a twisted face like a maniac, "VIVA EL PRESIDENTE EZEQUIEL!!!"

These people honestly think that the world will end within the next 4 years due to Bush's foreign policies. I am not kidding. You see this sentiment mentioned regularly on the Straight Dope Message Board, which is not nearly as extreme as DU. IE...

<Democrat SDMBer> If you weren't such a dumb hickseed you'd realize that you're wrong... Bush WILL end the world!

If you wrap yourself up in Moore-esque & worse conspiracy theories and lies, it's not hard to see how you'd get suicidal or violent over Bush's election.

Bush is pro life and anti gay marriage, that's how, to them, he can ruin this country. That and they have this delusion that we should "understand" our enemy not fight them.

Heck we can't even understand them, never mind our enemies!

Thats because, liberalism is their religion. It fills the void that comes naturally when humans have no faith in a being larger than themselves. Instead of putting their faith in God, they put their faith in a political party. Now that party has no power... Their God is DEAD. Their God has been proven POWERLESS.

Add to this that many on the EXTREME left have very little else in their lives to fill their time. They are largely unmarried, without children, often young and rebelling against authority, which they equate with the party of RULES and VALUES.
