"...Well, I did go over to that site, and found this in one post you made there. It's an excerpt, but makes it pretty clear where you stand..."

That's a separate subject, MM and it's not what the author's article is about, is it? If you, as an atheist, want to debate me as a Christian, then fine, start a new thread and let's have at it. BTW, you are the most intolerant person I've met on my brief experiece on this board. You don't argue the merits of ideas, you attack the positor. And you're way off base.

How about if we just capture them, hold them hostage, demand stuff of their government then cut off their heads and show the film for its entertainment value........just kidding.

Question: Would you rather be a practicing Muslim in the USA or a practicing Christian in Iran?

My last post on the subject.

This is a country of laws....that and opposable thumbs are all that separates us from the animals.

The Constitution is the law of the land....read it, and try to understand it.......if necessary, get help with the big words.

This is going to be the toughest thing we've ever had to face.

While this is and will continue to be a hard fought battle. Because we entered it with a reasoned plan and continue to modify and work that plan.

This is going to be the toughest thing we've ever had to face.

To date may be, but we have bigger, tougher issues lurking on the horizon.

The spread of socialism globally is a much more dangerous threat to us than a bunch of punks and thugs.

If he is HERE to find like minded thinks then he is flawed...Where the majority of America may have been ignoant of Jahid prior to 9/11/01 I do not believe that is the case today.

No, there are likeminded to be found here.

Among the ironies of the entire thread is the nature of the US Muslim population. Stats are very hard to come by for a variety of reasons, low Mosque membership rates, no INS stats on immigrants religion, and possible hesitance to self-identify as Muslim in surveys, however most sources would contend that 40% plus of the US Muslim population are Black Muslims. Deportation will be problematical, though as I recall Malcom X wanted a couple of states for a new nation, maybe we'd deport them there. The next biggest chunk we'll be deporting to places like Pakistan, India and Bangladesh. Arab Muslims, maybe 12%-15%.

Unless you take the stats from groups like CAIR, which counts all immigrants from the midease, ex-Israel, as Muslim, in which case we can deport a whole bunch of Lebanese, Egyptian, and Iraqi Christians back home.

Garbage in, garbage out I guess.

"If you, as an atheist, want to debate me as a Christian, then fine, start a new thread and let's have at it. "

No, thanks. This is a political discussion forum, not a religious one. I debate religion, but not here.

Personally, I don't care what anyone's religion is. I only care about their actions. I've known fine people of all faiths, including Islam. I've known horrible people of all faiths, too.

I simply don't judge anyone based on their declaration of religion. I wait until I see what they do and what they support.

I see that you support something that is un-Constitutional. I see that you support something that is un-American. Sorry....but you're the one who said those things.

Now, in case you're not aware, this thread is off in never-never land. Only those who are active in it can see it. Why do you suppose that is?

Yes but that was a result of an identity crisis or should I say a loss of identity crisis in the 60's.

Deportation will be problematical

or moral or legal in the context of this thread

LOL! I don't know what I'm talking about because I'm a non-Jew. Alouette doesn't know what she's talking about because (even though she's Jewish) she disagrees with you! I had no idea that the "Popette" of `Am Yisra'el, who alone is infallable, had decided to grace Free Republic with her august presence. How about an indulgence, your Holiness?

The stupidity of some is unfathomable!

You're funny!

Okay now, fun's over. Back behind the mechitzhah, little lady! ;-)

I hope you don't mean to suggest that because "White Power" activists happen to be opposed to immigration and degradation of America's historical Christian character, opposition to such is automatically a sign of "White Nationalism." (By the way, even those goals don't describe all such White Nationalists. Many of them are mired in pseudo-Christian syncretism, but a number of them are expressly Pagan [in keeping with the traditions of the Fuhrer] or even outright atheist.)

Besides, even if we are collecting a bit of garbage from places like StormFront, the vast majority of White Power types are just too darn WEIRD to make any serious inroads with reality (for now, at least). I've seen the mods deal with them, and they've been good about making sure such people aren't allowed to influence the direction of the content of this site. If their true colors show through, they get banned--and it's usually fairly obvious when someone crosses the line between genuine concerns about immigration and race relations to eugenics and flat-out racism. The former are a means to an end; the latter are ends in themselves.

FTR, I am in favor of stopping immigration and putting the melting pot on boil for a simple reason: I want my kids to grow up in a nice place. If we continue to fragment our country the way we are, I will be dragged into a civil war, and my kids (if I survive) will grow up in a country that is not only economically devastated but also coarsely racist, religiously intolerant, and outright rotten. I have lived my entire life without witnessing firsthand the outbreak of ancient tribal codes in America. I have no wish to see them begin to surface. Regrettably, that may be inevitable at this point. I can only hope I'm wrong.

Indeed. Their grasp of American history is appallingly short-sighted and narrow-minded.

The Pilgrims didn't come here to start a religious theocracy -- they came here to LEAVE a religious theocracy!

Your grasp of history is appallingly deficient.

For one thing, the U.K. was NEVER a religious theocracy. Yes, the civic codes were based on Christian ideals and morals (and, of course, cultural norms inherited from their Celtic, Germanic, and Greco-Roman precursors), but the Christian priesthood is not a secular office. (The exception was the Semitic, Greek, and Slavic Christians under Ottoman rule--and that was because their Muslim masters drew no distinction between religion and politics.) I'm not saying I'd like to emulate everything they did (and as a Catholic, I certainly can't approve of the Anglicans' forced conversions of the Irish); it wasn't the City of God, but there was certainly much that was laudable about Christian Europe.

For another thing, the Pilgrims who came here established a community that was distinctively Puritan in nature. It wasn't a theocracy, no more than Anglican U.K. or Catholic France was, but if you weren't a Puritan, you would find yourself somewhat marginalized in civic life (which is how it goes in every culture where religious faith influences civic life; the alternative is the kind of characterless secularism that the ACLU promotes and that has become the state religion of the United States).

No it's not. We're thankfully not a theocracy and were never intended to be. Fortunately, I'm free from having some ignorant Christians or Muslims or Jews try to shove their ignorance down my throat thru force of law.

LOL... did you see how many people actually voted in that StormFront poll about FR? A whooping 28!

Those people are so pitiful, it's pathetic. StormFront is only readable if you have enough popcorn on hand. You can't seriously believe they've made that big of a dent in this place.

Exactly. Western Civilization has not been a theocracy at least since Constantine. The Christian priesthood (in contrast with the Islamic imamate) has never been a secular office.

Fortunately, I'm free from having some ignorant Christians or Muslims or Jews try to shove their ignorance down my throat thru force of law.

This goes both ways, you know. Our publically funded education system does a pretty fine job of shoving secularist/pluralistic propaganda down our kids' throats. For example, many sex education programs indoctrinate them in ways that I believe are harmful to society. I find that as offensive as you would find tax money being used to pay Christian clergy.
