I have an aquaintance of which I debate through emails occasionally. He believes these same things, but swears he is not a lefty! I almost can't stand the insanity.
This is typical of people who don't know beans about politics. He probably really doesn't realize what he is on the political spectrum.
They say things like "they ALL do it", "they ALL lie", "they're ALL crooks". Being politically ignorant makes a person very gullible to exotic conspiracy theories, they generally seem more comfortable with crazy notions then with logical, sensible opinions.
