The amputated soldier in FahrenHYPE 911 was injured when a tire they were inflating blew up (overinflation).

Now it was a tragedy and the men served their country. I put no blame on their actions as to their injuries. The left however is lying throught THEIR teeth when they try to pin that death and dismemberment as being "Bush's fault; Bush lied - people died". Such an accident can occur ANYWHERE in the world on a military base.

Over one third of the deaths on the infamous "1,000 dead - Bush's fault" list were in non-combat situations.

The left does not care about these soldiers. They want them just to be a number, a statistic. And a photo op of a coffin draped corpse (or better still a photo of a dead body, something we NEVER saw from the 9-11 attacks as it was considered "too insensitive" to the families).

You make an extremely good point!

"..as it was considered ";too insensitive" to the families)." Did they really say that? Ignoring their sacrifice is as "insensitive" as anything can get. The equivalent, if not worse, of causing them to make the sacrifice. But it's important to realize that not everyone in the coalition is noble, there are still a hand full of monsters in the US military, mostly corrupt officers and senators. However, Bush is doing a pretty good job at fighting this back. If nothing else, this is one thing that he'll be praised for. From what I've seen, there isn't nearly as much inhuman behavior on the part of the US as there was in Vietnam. It's all kept public, no secret assaults. Thankfully we can avoid another Mai Lai. We have caused civilian casualties but that's primarily the problem of misusing technology. Firing 20mm shells from helicopters and dropping 4 ton bombs at scurrying ground troops is risky (a major understatement). Using this firepower in crowded cities is a big no-no. Any US colonel or general worth his salt would tell you so. That "Shock and Awe" business in Baghdad was a huge mistake. This issue needs to be brought up with the defense board and tactical advisory if it hasn't already. War, by its own nature, can't be perfect.
