This is almost as bad as the guy who went on FoxNews's morning show the other day asserting that since the Redskins have been in existence, their last home game before a presidential election has predicted the election outcome. If they win, the party in power stays in power; if they lose, it's a change of power. He went on to say that it has worked everytime, including 2000 when the Redskins won. And what's-her-face let him get away with it. UGH!! I haven't taken the time to go back and see if he just mis-spoke.

GO CARDINALS!!!

what if it ends up Houston vs. Boston?
a presidential election matchup! if Boston scores more runs
,but wins fewer games will Edwards sue for the Botox Sox because they had more overall runs and thereby won the popular score?
This is the Florida idea the dims had-same principle.

Boston can be the proxy for Senator John Kerry from Massachusetts

I'd rather not - Kerry couldn't give two s**ts about the Red Sox. POlitical expedience is his only concern.

I'd like to keep America's Pasttime separate from America's POlitics. Baseball is entertaining fun, politics is enterta... err serious business ;0)

I'm rootin' for Boston, as I always do when they make the playoffs, unless they're playing the Tigers, or until they meet the Cubs in the Series.

Too bad about Houston, eh? But both ALCS and NLCS went to seven games, it doesn't get any better than that.

Except when Boston lulls the Yankees into a false sense of security, then beats them twice in extra innings, then humiliates them in game seven. Life is good.
George W. Bush will be reelected by a margin of at least ten per cent

So, this is just about ideal as World Series go, eh? I remember when the Cardinals played the Royals (1985) -- a Royals fan in the stands during game six held a big sign, "Dewey Defeats Truman / The Cards in Five". The Royals won the Series.
