I can think of more reasons than that why O'reilly is a weird dude.

O'Reilly is just another guy who let fame and power go to his head. In a wierd way, he reminds me of Steven Seagal.

All I know is that if this woman set him up, and under the assumptions that the allegations are fully true, I still have trouble with why he would behave as such. Unless that was your wife or girlfriend I suppose, there's no need for such talk.
It's obvious that he was set up, but you would think that someone in his biz would be on constant alert that there were wenches like her out there just waiting to exploit him. Forget Fox News, he should have simply been concerned with his own bacon!

"O'Reilly is a confusing person who will go back and forth on an issue -- strongly taking both sides -- and thereby make it impossible to know with any exactness where he stands."
Could this be the reason why OR gives sKerry a pass on practically everything, and badmouths the Swiftees?

O'Reilly is weird and all over the place with emphatic pronounciamientos because he is playing at a role for which he is unqualified: God.

His being interested in the big "O" caused him to shift to the left. Basis: trying to build sympathy for Dan Rather AND on his radio show, at least, he had kind words for Bill Maher, too. He didn't want them to feel pain or, in essence, accept the consequences of their actions. Also, the Left in H'Wood like to resurrect their fallen, such as Sheen, Pee Wee, Bill Maher etc.
Michael Savage, usually on our side, seems to have raised himself from the dead after the "Homo" objections. No H'wood stars there. "O" and Dr Mike seem at odds and Dr. Mike didn't go on the big "O" Show. Fortuitous of inside radio intelligence?????

Maybe it's weird to try to think up so many reasons why somebody else is weird...or maybe reading about why a weird person thinks somebody else is weird is even weirder?

My gut tells me that all the stuff this woman is saying he said are true, ive always had the feeling that O'Reilly is a closet perv.

O'Reilly is a confusing person who will go back and forth on an issue -- strongly taking both sides..O'Reilly changes polarity without regard to the potential around him. He is so unpredictable and contrary, I can't listen to him anymore.
He's also kind of a "Creepy Nerd". You know, the obnoxious know-it-all friend of the family, that comes to Thanksgiving Dinner and does not leave soon enough.
Remember the myth that self abuse could cause insanity? I think O'Reilly's persona proves this to be true.

O'Reilly was on the radio briefly in my town and, since I don't watch much tv, it was my only exposure. I couldn't relate and I thought he came off as arrogant, and he never came across to me as a conservative. To me, he's always been more or less irrelevant.

Let me first admit that I have enjoyed Mr OR's show over the past several years (I would prefer the same show, but with Hannity instead of OR).
The bottom line is that consistency is hard and OR's ego is so big that he much alter his opinions so that he can attempt to win every debate. It just too impossible in short segments to be thoughtful enough to be consistent if your first goal is to appear to win, i.e. you will say anything even if you said just the opposite at another time. Just look at the Bush/Kerry debates. Kerry was free to say anything without regard for past statements that would have stood in direct conflict with whatever he felt sounded best at the time of the question.
With regard to the allegations against OR. I find it odd that in his comments after the story broke that he has not denied anything. In fact, he said something to the effect of "I have a big mouth on the my show and I have a big mouth outside of it". To me, this was almost an admission that he engaged in the alleged contact, but he viewed it as just being a big mouth, i.e. no big deal. To him, the outrage was that AM wanted 60M. If all of this is true (regardless of whether sex harassment can be proven to be true) then I do believe that OR is toast. He will lose any ounce of moral authority that he had (remember his talking points about Clinton and Lewinsky) and thus he will be rendered irrelevant.

O'Reilly is a jerk. He's a simple minded antagonist that falls apart under the slightest pressure.

He is like his friend; a 'flip-flopper'. . .I think doing the radio show and nightime tv has been taken a toll, perhaps.
Wondering if he is 'taking something' - anti-depressants, or somesuch; because he really is - all over the map; and his judgment or lack of it; in some of his interviews is more than painful.
Seems to be a correalation between that lack of judgment seen on TV and perhaps what is playing out now in the media. That coupled with his ever-present arrogance; is not working to his favor.
