I saw this in the commentary section and thought it would be fun to post. My favorite is: "Bush looks like a Keebler elf".
--I know you have all been waiting breathlessly for this... so here it is- my 12 year-old daughter's spontaneous comments on the debate. She watched the whole thing with us and- all on her own- kept copious notes.
"Kerry is a robot. He does not move naturally. He cannot sit right or walk around like a normal human.
"Bush is a real person. Moves around a lot. Sits on his stool like he's sitting at home.
"When told who will be asking the question, Bush searches the room until he finds the person, and then makes eye contact with them. He looks around at everybody in the room.
"Kerry looks down and glances around... looking skittish. He focuses on about four people in the room- all in roughly the same place.
"Kerry tries to joke around, making him look CREEPY. He does a fake laugh for like .5 seconds, and then goes back to his robot face.
"Bush will make a joke making fun of himself, and will laugh at his own joke like a human being.
"Kerry tells approximately 273 lies per question.
"Bush tells no lies, only the truth. He makes more sense with the truth than Kerry does with his lies that get everybody tongue tied and make everyone's brains fry.
"Bush is working on not making scowls.
"Kerry has an eternal dorky robot expression on his face.
"Kerry has a really long face that scares people.
"Bush looks like a Keebler Elf.
"Kerry pronounces "Afghanistan", "AfghanisTEEN". He cannot drop his "G's" off his "ing's" without sounding like a robot. He talks in 150 word sentences.
"Bush corrects himself for any pronunciation mistakes he makes. He talks like a real person from Texas, which he is. He says "walkin'" instead of "walking", "'stead" instead of "instead", "wadn't" instead of "was not".
"Kerry got a manicure, pedicure, facial, botox, orange tan, and speech lessons to prepare for debate. He still looks like a dorky robot.
"Bush didn't do any of that, but still looks like a human. He preferred to train for the debate, rather than for the cameras (ed., yes, she really did come up with that one on her own!)
"Bush always has his Keebler Elf sideways smile on.
"Kerry always looks like a dorky robot.
"In spite of all that Kerry tried to do he still could not match Bush's realism and honesty."

My 12-year-old's take: Kerry is so 9/10 that he's 1969.
A father's proud moment...my 10 year old son said after the debate that "the President kicked butt, Dad". Then I asked him what did he like about him...he said "he reminds me of you, Dad"....to me...that was the best compliment I ever received in my life!
Raise his allowance. :^)
That's really touching. A really high compliment because it's so tough being a parent.
I've said before, and polls bear me out, that the President is the one you can count on in case of a neighbor's house on fire, if your car stalls or gets stuck in the snow, or that you want to invite to your bbq. People are drawn to him because he has that loving, caring quality.
Yesterday evening I was reading "God and George W Bush: A Spiritual Life" for the first time. There's a quote in there from Bush's 1994 Texas campaign manager Brian Berry that's very telling:
"The guy really loves people. I mean it. He is not just very personable, kind, and gentle, but is also a handholding kind of guy. He literally will hold your hand while he chats with you."
Mine said Kerry wasted time at the beginning of each question with babble and still hardly ever answered. Also noticed his stiffness and hand gestures.
They're in honors classes and had been concerned that at lunch, they heard nothing but Kerry supporters. However yesterday in one honors class they held an election and all honors students and their parents were for Bush. Could it be that dimwits are indeed RATS?
My 16 year old daughter thinks Kerry is so creepy, she can't listen or watch him long enough to even know what he thinks. She has to leave the room.
