When Kerry harped about not having real allies in Iraq why didn't Bush say "just because France and Germany didn't join us doesn't mean there were no allies - we have 30 countries... This is the difference between following and leading. We lead. The Commander-in-Chief of the U.S. doesn't have to get a permission slip from France to defend itself ..."
