Care Packages to Iraq

Posted on 09/28/2004 5:31:31 PM PDT by concretebob

Has anyone had experience shipping care packages to Iraq? What is the expected length of time to delivery? I have all the other info I need. I'm just curious about how long it takes. Thanks Bob

Gotta go to the post office. Last package I sent took 3 weeks. The guys over there love Maxim magazine since they are not allowed Playboy.

I sent a package on August 25th and the postmark on the letter I received back was September 10th. So that is like 16 days. It went to Al-Asad, Iraq so I didn't think that was too bad.

Bump for a question. I have "adopted" a soldier in Iraq. I asked what he needs or wants. He emailed that he needs spare boots because it is rainy and his boots do not dry out in the six hours he has them off. I will get him the boots.

He did not ask for anything else, but I want to include other stuff also. Any suggestions as to what to include?
