You know, the conspiracy to embarass CBS. Did the freepers hold a gun to Rather's head? Was Carl Rove involved? Did George Bush have King Faisel forge the memos?
Maybe it was Dick Cheney or Donald Rumsfield, or John O'Neil. What does Cat Stevens know about all this?

The Grand Conspiracy, of course. There are no principaled conservatives, only networkds of people with money and people who are bought off. Liberals naturally associate because of altruism, love and some occasional High Brow Conversation. This is how things are.
The puzzle they're referring to is how Jim Robinson fits into the network. Who's paying him off, what he's getting out of all this. Since he's clearly not an entry level Neanderthal like the rest of us, he must be either a cunning manipulator or on the dole.
If only they can find the link, then they can expose and discredit Jim as the pawn of Big Texas Money that he really is. At which point, he's required by regulation to say, 'And I would have gotten away with it, too, if it wasn't for you meddling kids and your dumb dog!'*
