Why CBS Should NOT Fire Dan Rather...

There is this large email campaign to fire Dan Rather going on as many of you know. While I am angry at him and CBS for how they portrayed the "Killian" memos, I think they should not only NOT fire Dan Rather, I think they need to give him more air time. I, for one, would like CBS to FLOOD the television with Dan Rather broadcasts.

Why...okay...follow my reasoning here.

Everyone is mad at him. Everyone knows that he is a liar. Everyone knows he is completely biased. Everyone knows that CBS' ratings have tumbled in the past week...flood the airways with Dan Rather and CBS will go out of business. In New York alone, the 60 Minutes ratings drop more than 60%. I would love to extend that hit to the rest of America and kick CBS where it hurts.

Just another possibility. Maybe instead of an email campaign to oust him, perhaps we should all campaign to make him the anchor of every major news program on CBS. =)

We should beg CBS to keep him on so we'll have the pleasure of seeing him have to report Bush's reelection on November 2.
