Actually I was an Army Infantry Captain while on active duty and upon completing my four years, I went into the IRR (Individual Ready Reserve) and managed to complete a branch transfer to armor. I attended the Armor Officers Advanced Course and the M1 Transition Course. So I guess you can say I cut my tank teeth on the original M1 Abrams. It had a rifled 105mm bore on the main tube, a .50 at the commanders station which could be swapped with the M249 and a Coax M249.
Gawd I did love that vehicle! My crew had the distinction of being the only crew at the transition course to manage to get the tank airborne (daylight visible under all points of tread contact); fire the main gun at the apex of arc and hit a stationary target some 2000 meters away. I was driving that day.
This International Criminal Tribunal is a Ramsey Clark production.
Meaning, not to worry. It was just a skit performed at a commie tea party.
