I've just started reading Free Republic and I think it's great. Can anyone tell me if there are any other sites out there that are like Free Republic? In other words, sites that people can log in, give comments, comment on others comments, etc? I would like to see sites that have a large following. Thanks!

I don't believe there are any other sites quite like FreeRepublic.
There are other conservative news forums.
You can find them if you want to.
You're here, you don't need to.

This is a great site! You can search any topic your interested in. Breaking news comes here faster than the T.V. News. This really is your 'one stop for everything' site. Welcome, maineman

There are probably a lot of sites out there you should visit. I don't know what they are. Leave now and try to find them. Thanks!

Free Republic is the Google of internet discussion boards. In Michelle Malkin's words, it's indespensible.

I don't understand why you would ask about other sites after you've been here a week.
This is a very busy news period, and I certainly cannot keep up on this site as it is.

Not really. Lucianne.com is close, but always struck me as a little too tightly controlled. There are little bulletin boards scattered about the ether, but none have the volume of participation and readership that we do. There are some left-wing hate sites that would like to think of themselves as a "counterpart" to FR, but spewing bile is a poor way to go through life. :-)

Free Republic was the concept of the Honorable Jim Robinson. It is the forum for conservative thought, lively debate and sincere goodwill. Those who come to know Freepers find friends (and ornery brothers & sisters) to discuss in real time news, events, history and the future in a forum that creates a neighborhood across this nation and beyond.
I found FR soon after finally breaking down and purchasing a PC. I've visited sites and found an amazing amount of information (other than the business stuff that I'd worked with on computers) and sites that were interesting but narrow. Is there another site like Free Republic, are there other people like those who exchange ideas, views, information and most importantly, good will with a hefty dollop of humor? NO
FREE REPUBLIC IS THE REAL DEAL

Finding FR and then asking if there is anything better, is like being handed a gold mine then asking if there a better one.
When you have already found the best, why continue to look?

Mars.
Try Mars.
I strongly recommend Mars.
Of course there is always DU.
And no; there is no other site like this one.
