Are there anymore sites like FreeRepublic?
Posted on 09/21/2004 8:37:08 PM PDT by lifeonmars
I've just started reading Free Republic and I think it's great. Can anyone tell me if there are any other sites out there that are like Free Republic? In other words, sites that people can log in, give comments, comment on others comments, etc? I would like to see sites that have a large following. Thanks!

Lucianne's site has SOME similarities to this site, but it is NOT the same, by a longshot..... Lucianna started here at FR. Her FReeper screen name was Trixie.

I don't understand why you would ask about other sites after you've been here a week.
This is a very busy news period, and I certainly cannot keep up on this site as it is.

Libre is like liberty, as in "free." I am being nice.
To: lifeonmars
Not really. Lucianne.com is close, but always struck me as a little too tightly controlled. There are little bulletin boards scattered about the ether, but none have the volume of participation and readership that we do. There are some left-wing hate sites that would like to think of themselves as a "counterpart" to FR, but spewing bile is a poor way to go through life. :-)

I'm not addicted to this web site. I can quit anytime I want.
Heck, this site ain't nothing, any web site can impeach a president...or prevent a theft of an election...or confirm media bias...or bust Dan Blather...

That's true. You cannot even register at www.luciann.com, but it is worth checking out once in a while since some times a posts goes up there before any of our posters see it.

Then pick on me, not the ladies.
I don't know much about other languages, but you fit the Liberal Man syndrome.
So that is what it is to me.
If you want a screen name in English, maybe I will understand it better.
Doesn't "hombre" mean man?
