REPUBLICANS ABROAD IN SPAIN, The proud warriors of Baker Company...

The proud warriors of Baker Company wanted to do something to pay tribute To our fallen comrades. So since we are part of the only Marine Infantry Battalion left in Iraq the one way that we could think of doing that is By taking a picture of Baker Company saying the way we feel. It would be awesome if you could find a way to share this with our fellow countrymen. I was wondering if there was any way to get this into your papers to let the world know that "WE HAVE NOT FORGOTTEN" and are proud to serve our country." Semper Fi 1stSgt Dave Jobe

You've GOT to go to the actual site to see the "We Remember" photo. I was teary-eyed looking at it.

Thank God we have men like these.

Love that photo. Reminds me that nothing is more like war than living in serious mud, cold mud, for weeks. Reminds me of when I was young!

I have a couple friends with notable Iraq experience, one a 22 year old West Point regular and the other a 45 year old reconnaissance specialist in the Reserves. Both very excellent men. My respect for the good men in the Services is very high. So don't get me wrong.

The Marine Corps has the highest fraction of very good men of all of the Services, in my never humble opinion. Perhaps my affection for the Corps dates back to Viet Nam days. Well, so be it.

Thank YOU for posting this. You are doing a public service by getting this out to the real patriots, the FReepers and everyday citizens who love this country and the military that sacrifices for us. That was one of the most moving images I'ven seen in a while.

Also, remember that the guys in that photo are the heirs of the same military heritage that John Kerry dragged through the muck of Vietnam.
