From Rasmussen Polling
September 14, 2004--Twenty-seven percent (27%) of voters believe that the CBS Memos concerning President Bush's National Guard service are authentic. However a Rasmussen Reports survey also found that 38% believe the memos are forgeries.
Among voters who are following the story very closely, 56% believe the memos are forgeries and 27% believe they are authentic. Overall, 38% of voters say they are following the story "very" closely and 34% say they are following it "somewhat" closely.
Only 16% of voters think questions about President Bush's National Guard service are "very" important. That view is held by 27% of Democrats, 13% of unaffiliated voters, and 6% of Republicans.
Kerry's Loon's are all over this issuing video's and holding press conferences - What if you held a campaign - and no one came!
DKK
If even only 27% of Democrats think W's guard service matters, then why is this such a big deal to CBS?
Exactly. It matters to only 6% of Republicans. The bottom line is this story will change very few votes, even it if was true. And it will change NONE now that every one knows its a forgery.
Unless it is meant to neutralize some devastating info for the Kerry Camp from the Swifties.
place this in the body of your messages Forgery
This has nothing to do with what the memos say... This has everything to do with the liberal elite CBS Pravda parade. This will never go away... CBS reputation is ruined and I hope that congressional investigations bring people to justice on this one...
...and the controversy is drowning out Kerry's message (check that) Kerry's ability to get air time (he has no message). This all acrues to Pres. Bush's advantage.
Yep
