Didn't Ms. Knox say that she had heard "buzz" around the office similar to what was in the memos, but the memos themselves are frauds? Sounds like Rather is trying to refocus attention back on the "content" of the memos, that is, the charges, and away from the the memos themselves.
Rather will skip the fraud statement and instead lead with: "While Ms. Knox did not type the memos herself, she heard ..."
Time for Killian's son to step up and speak some more. I don't think this old bag's "memory" is to be trusted.
I bet YOU anything the poor 86yr old lady was interviewed, grilled and cohorts at her nursing home! A picture of the Ms. Knox would speaks volumes!!
I've been saying it's like when perpetrators of fraudulent hate crimes are caught. They always whine that while the "crime" may technically be fake, it could have happened, and that's the real story.
You know, as I see expert after expert coming forward saying how they told CBS they could NOT authenticate these documents, and after Rather went ahead and represented them as authentic and validated as such by experts on the now infamous Sixty Minutes, the more it's hitting me that he and CBS can never get away with the "well, the memos are frauds case" and still retain their viability.
Rather must go and so should his producer and John Roberts who is on the record defending the docs, and who knows who else in that organization, before CBS can even approach repairing the damage to their credibility.
They won't do that, is my prediction. There must be hearings.
