>It is an unmerciful public flogging; the kind one would not
>wish upon a donkey.
I care a good deal more for donkeys than for the folks at CBS news...
I disagree; they will stick with it for another two weeks at least. Because if they give in the trail leads down and down.
Dan Rather thought he was unleashing Watergate. What he got was Waterloo.
I don't know . . . I'd wish it on quite a few donkeys I know.
Very well said.
I'm all for flogging donkeys---ELEPHANTS RULE!!!!!
"All hands on deck to witness punishment."
Let there be no end to the public flogging of Rather & Co. until they unconditionally capitulate. Their continuted pushing of these crude forgeries in the face of irrefutable evidence is a disgrace to even the mass media.
What has been happened to Rather, et al. at CBS is that they have entered the flame war arena without any flame retardent gear and, more importantly, with flamethrowers that are completely out of fuel.
Depends on the donkey.
bump
bump!
Dan looks as if he could use cheering up. Perhaps as an expression of sympathy I'll mail some fresh memos over to West 57th St.
It was a smooth move ticking off the blogosphere. Dan Rather couldn't flame his way out of a girl scout chat room devoted to baking cookies.
"It is an unmerciful public flogging; the kind one would not wish upon a donkey."
Another typical media lie.
This "one" wishes the flogging to continue until there is nothing left of CBS or Dan Rather. This one also wishes the flogging to extend and to be increased on all of the donkeys and jackasses in the RAT party.
Neener neener neener!
CBS is going to stick to their story for a long time, perhaps forever and ever. Amen.
Gotta love the last para of the WP article:
"Prominent conservatives such as Rush Limbaugh are insisting the documents are forged. New York Times columnist William Safire said yesterday that CBS should agree to an independent investigation. Brent Bozell, president of the Media Research Center, called on the network to apologize, saying: "The CBS story is a hoax and a fraud, and a cheap and sloppy one at that. It boggles the mind that Dan Rather and CBS continue to defend it."
"Dan looks as if he could use cheering up. Perhaps as an expression of sympathy I'll mail some fresh memos over to West 57th St."
Wouldn't it be FUN for ALL Freepers to send Rather a Termination Letter in Times New Roman with plenty of superscripts, created in Word, of course! And don't forget the PINK paper! What a Freep that would be.
