The problem with analysis like this is that it presupposes all the things that we all know now. It also presupposes that the writer new everything we know now. You presuppose this was a life long forger when in all actuality it was probably some over confident schmuck that thought no one could notice.
Here is a hint for anyone out there committing a crime... Now listen carefully.
Most people committing a crime be it robbery, murder or simple forgery don't know what they DONT KNOW. And dectectives that investigate this stuff every day, what you might not think of they have seen in different variations 2 dozen times last week.
So what you might think is brilliant fails in comparison to the 48 other things you could not possibly have known because you are not an expert in that field.
THAT is why Free Republic is brilliant. You all the sudden have 800 to 1500 eyes looking at your brillance and it only takes one person to go.....hey... wait a minute....
Just know this has happened on FR before and it will over and over again. We WILL be a very HUGE political threat to the opposition because in the old days ( Mr. Rather) you could get away with this type of thing, and everytime you do you get more confident in your abilities...
NOT ANY MORE ....
I can't wait to see the mug shot of the guy who forged these millitary documents!!!
CAN'T WAIT!!
Remembering the Mickey Rourke line in "Body Heat": "There's 50 things can go wrong when you commit a crime. You're a genius if you think of 25 of them. And you ain't no genius."
