Russia prepared for pre-emptive strikes on 'terror bases' worldwide

MOSCOW (AFP) - Russia is prepared to make pre-emptive strikes on "terrorist bases" anywhere in the world, the Interfax news agency cited the country's chief of staff as saying. "With regard to preventive strikes on terrorist bases, we will take any action to eliminate terrorist bases in any region of the world. But this does not mean we will carry out nuclear strikes," General Yuri Baluyevsky said Wednesday. Baluyevsky added that Russia's choice of action "will be determined by the concrete situation where ever it may be in the world. "Military action is the last resort in the fight agaisnt terrorism."

My friends, now is the time to join our Russian friends and drain the swamp and kill all the mosquitoes. The tragic Russian school massacre was an al Qaeda operation. The Chechens were prominent in Afghanistan where they were trained in al Qaeda camps and they are now al Qaeda foot soldiers.

The resistance in Iraq and Afghanistan finds refuge in Iran. Hussein’s WMDs are hidden in Syria or Syrian-controlled Lebanon. If we don’t hunt down and kill our enemies we will have Bessan School Tragedy right here in River City.

I don't think Russian troops would be welcome in Iraq by the US, the UK, the Turks, the Iraqis, or the Kurds. They could come in very handy, however, for the coming storm in Iran.

Russia and Israel should take out Iran and Syria respectively while the USA holds down the fort. Then let The Big Bear loose on the other rat infested terror bases around the world instead of US forces being subjected to charges of political correctness insensitivity.

The formation of a USA-Israel-Russia alliance against Islamic terrorism would combine a lot of intelligence and military fire power in addition to the political coup for Bush’s foreign policy.

It all depends on their motivation. If their motivation was really to stamp out the terrorist cockroaches, then we could use the help.

However, I do agree with a trust but verify policy. After all, they were huge recipients of the corrupt U.N. fuel for food program.

Maybe I'm dreaming, but I would love to see Russian troops guarding the pipelines to Basra. Their soldiers are competent, well trained, and harsh. (and the left in Europe and America cannot critize anything they do) It would free up a lot of our troops to move north.

The Russians can be our ally like in WW11, and best of all there is no Stalin to back stab us after the war. Our country needs all the real allies with muscle it can find! Not that a war against Islamic terrorists is something that has a definite ending. I for one am willing to ignore the traditional Russian brutality in their conduct of this war because the Islamic nut cases are much worse. We are bogged down in Iraq and stretched way too thin, so bombs away Mr Putin.

I really don't think you will see Russian troops in Iraq, anywhere.

Unless, after the election, Russia and the US enter into a "Grand Alliance" to stamp out islamic terrorism. Even then I think you would see more co-operation as opposed to joint operations. Russian intelligence assets in the mid-east would be more than welcome.

PS. spent some time in Niagara over the weekend. Took forever to get over the bridge. But, we had to endure it because there is nothing, and I mean NOTHING, on the American side. In fact, it looked something like Beirut.
