Blowing Smoke Up A Coal Miners Butt

Posted on 09/06/2004 8:22:17 PM PDT by notforhire

How can Kerry stand in front of a bunch of hard working coal miners in West Viginia and convince them that he's gonna keep their jobs for them when he get the endorcement of the Sierra Club and post it on his web site?

The SC insist that Kerry:

Championed an energy plan that increases fuel economy to reduce the nation’s dependence on oil and supports the development of clean, energy-saving technologies and renewable energy to reduce our dependence on other polluting sources of energy;

And, advocated for the United States to take the lead in international efforts to cut global warming pollution, reverse ozone depletion, protect tropical rain forests, preserve biological diversity and press for sustainable development.

If I was a coal miner, that'd make me wonder about a few things.

Kerry also has this to say on his site:

"As president, John Kerry will reverse the Bush-Cheney rollbacks to our Clean Air Act, plug loopholes in the law, take aggressive action to stop acid rain, and use innovative, job-creating programs to reduce mercury emissions and other emissions that contribute to global warming."

Really? Tell us more about these innovative, job-creating programs to reduce mercury emissions and other emissions that contribute to global warming. I'd really like to know how you're gonna do it, cause every time its been tried in the past, it was a disaster for the coal industry.

On another note, I wonder what Kerry thought about the shotgun the miners gave him.

Rest assured, he will find a way to wiggle out from underneath that one the next time he's in front of the UAW.
