Can't answer you there. Your buddy Wlat was also a big fan of Lincoln - perhaps the biggest one on FR - and he certainly turned out to be a Marxist.
Then there's your other buddy #3fan, another huge Lincoln fan. Don't know if you heard or not but he got zotted about 2 weeks ago after he turned out to be a neo-nazi (He was found posting anti-semitic passages, links to aryan nation websites you name it).
So given the track record of Lincoln supporters around here, I'm inclined to believe that anything is possible. There will, of course, be some conservative anomalies who like the guy either out of ignorance, an inability to overcome the indoctrination of their youth, or simple wishful thinking. But Lincoln's biggest and staunches fans have always been Marxists dating back to Karl himself.
