(Kerry Buddy) Ramsey Clark & some French Guy to Defend Saddam
According to Arab News,
AMMAN, 25 August 2004 Former US Justice Secretary Ramsey Clark is expected to join a legal team seeking to defend former Iraqi President Saddam Hussein before a special Iraqi tribunal, the panels chairman Mohammad Rashdan announced yesterday.
Negotiations are under way for Clarks joining of the team, Rashdan told Arab News, without going into details.
Clark, an ardent sympathizer with Saddams government, will become one of the distinguished members of the panel, that also included former French Foreign Minister Roland Dumas and some 20 prominent Arab and non-Arab lawyers who volunteered to defend the former Iraqi leader.
It's almost eerie how John Kerry ends up juxtaposed over and over again with Blame America Firsters, France, and evil dictators. (As an aside, I linked to evil dictator Daniel Ortega in the previous sentence. Look who Kerry went with to meet him -fellow Vietnam medal phony Tom Harkin!)Anyhow, Ramsey Clark and John Kerry go back a long ways.
Most recently, Ramsey Clark endorsed John Kerry for President.
Back in 1971, they were lionized by the Communist Daily World newspaper. Both were involved in the group "Vietnam Veterans Against the War.
Two days later, Kerry was again featured on the cover of the Communist Daily World newspaper.
I almost feel bad for leaving Mr. Al Hubbard of VVAW fame out of this, since he shared the stage with Kerry, Clark, and Fonda. You'll have to make do with that link.
O.K. How do we capitalize on this with voters other than just veterans?
ping!
