Only to the extent that the "rat cause" is monolithic. I think a real problem exists with "rat supporters" misunderstanding what they support. That can happen on our side, as well. I neither accuse all Demmocrats of hating America, nor of being lost to us. To say so would prove that I myself hated America, because I would be saying that I hated people with whom I disagree simply on the basis of our differences. If we lose the ability to disagree politely, then we will lose the Republic. I love the Republic, and I will defend peoples' right to disagree. To do otherwise would be to act like a typical America-hating DUer.
Seriously, DU doesn't exactly attract those who merely respectfully disagree. If they did, they wouldn't be such an easy target (and my generalizations wouldn't be so close to the mark).
