The Democrats are in chaos. The governor is resigning amid a sex scandal that gets more sordid by the day. Meanwhile, they're running the state on borrowed money and also raising taxes at a rate that leads the nation. That brings me to the question that all thoughtful political observers in New Jersey are asking themselves: How will the Republicans screw this up?

Republicans never take advantage of their opponents' weaknesses, and Democrats weasel their way out of their screw-ups, and the public is too stupid to care what either party is doing, as long as they can enjoy their bread and circuses. It's as simple as that.
In New Jersey, the Republicans are nearly as corrupt as the Democrats, and are certainly equally in the pocket of both the education mafia and the regular old NY/North Jersy mob. There's nothing for the Republicans to "screw up" - - in New Jersey it's just a matter of "playing ball".
Well, the main problem is that in every case the dominant media tells the public that they shouldn't care about Democrat's screw-ups, that if they do, their feelings are wrong and intolerant. Then they tell the public that when a Republican screws up, no matter how abstract or inconsequential the situation, they are obligated to be morally outraged.
Absolutely. And the public is too stupid to do their own thinking. They let the media do it for them. And we all know where the media's loyalties lie.
