This is big news ... since Kerry went on the floor of the senate and indicated that he vividly remembered he was in this country in 1968. That shows he lied to congress and under oath I would think!
I wonder if Kerry is going to come out and say he was in this country but just at another time ... hmmm ...
Alston spoke at the convention. If this is true, it is big. I would also send to SBVFT.
Is it too late for this old grannie to give you a heartfelt thank you for your service?
I don't see attacks coming against his Senate career. Where is the action from the people who can bring Kerry down with his Senate record? Bring it on!!!!!
The media will allow Kerry to say he was 'near' Cambodia and ignore the President Nixon connection. Hoping we'll forget the part where Kerry says the experience is SEARED IN HIS MEMORY.
The lamestream can try :) I hope they do, actually. Kerry and his useful idiots in the press can all circle the bowl together...
Kerry himself! He spent 4 months in VN. He has been a senator for 20+ years.
Name one thing he has done as a senator?
Need to watch for red herrings the DNC may toss out there for us to catch and run with that the DNC can factually disqualify.....thus throwing a wet blanket over all true facts.
Could it be as simple as a typo on the casualty report? Or even poor handwriting? Sometimes a 9 can look like a 4 and vice versa.
bump
Where does the "under oath" part come from? While he did lie in his senate speech, they aren't put under oath before they speak there.
To the best of my knowledge, none of his claims have ever been made under oath. (This contrasts with the Swift boat vets who were under oath when they made their affidavits.)
That's why I put ... I think at the end of the sentence. Are you telling me there is no law to prevent a senator from speaking on the floor of the senate and knowingly misleading congress?
In the interest of keeping a consistent argument, the bolded portion of the above statement would negate almost every member of the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth. It is undeniable that Kerry and Alston made misleading statements about serving on the same boat, which calls their credibility into question, but (in the interest of accuracy and consistency), they could have been involved in combat operations together while serving on different boats, since those boats worked in close support of one another.

The only possibility that Alston is in the photo with Kerry's regular crew, is that Alston was filling in for someone temporarily. If you look at the various rosters, for individual boats, you can see that some folks served on multiple boats.
Navy enlisted ranks look more confusing than they really are.
The letter codes indicate a sailor's rating (his specialty) and not his rank. A Machinist's Mate First Class (MM1), a Hospitalman First Class (HM1), any any other specialty (xx1) all have the same rank (E6) but with different training and skills.
In a way, a sailor wears his MOS (I think we called them 'job codes', though) on his sleeve. It's part of the insignia on most uniform types.
A general on FNC last night addresssed this issue. Very well I might add. It boils down to the definition of "with." I suspect Kerry learned his lessons from Clintonisms well. If men served in the same group (I don't remember the proper name for it), they considered themselves serving with one another. This general said that he "served with" over 800 other soldiers, but he didn't know all of them. The boats were another situation. More than one almost always went out together to cover for one another. The men in all the boats were in the same group. Also being on the same boat didn't mean that they knew more about someone else on their boat than someone from another one. You might have one man on one side of the boat and the man in question on the other; the first man wouldn't necessarily see him at all, wheras another man on another boat may have that man in his sights during an entire action and know much more about he behaved than the other men on his own boat. So I think we have to be careful and use the language as the men did who served in the armed forces in VN.
Johnson says Kerry is now saying he was mistaken about being in Cambodia on Christmas '68. He was NEAR Cambodia and was IN Cambodia on a LATER date.
Here we go ................
Alston spoke at the DNC and detailed his experience with Kerry in an impassioned speech.
Interesting info. I think we can assume everything about John Fraud Kerry is a lie. What a Lounge Lizard.
CREDIT WHERE CREDIT IS DUE BUMP:
Pat Buchanan had O'Neil on Scarborough Country last night for most of the program and they absolutely inviserated Kerry. Then a couple of RATliars came on and Pat destroyed them too. My hat is off to Pat for a change, he did a magnificent job. It was revealed that Kerry's Silver Star was awarded without the requisite three witnesses and was never certified. It was granted on the recommendation of his commander based only upon KERRY'S testimony. He has since said had he known what actually happened he would have never given the recommendation. Sick crap.
