Interesting take on a "LIB" website (Vanity)

Lets give all the federal governments power to the democrat party and see what happens. Now that I think about it something like that has been done in Hawaii. The state government has been just about totally dominated by Democrats since the 60's. Lets take a look at Hawaii today. Hawaii has one of the biggest state governments in the country. Lowest home owner rate. Just about the highest taxes in the country and dont nit pick im not only talking about sales tax. Highest welfare rate. Second highest gas prices. Most unfriendly to all private business small and large alike. One of the worst public education systems. Really bad drug problem (crystal meth especially). High crime rate not murder but a lot of property theft and drug related crime in general (Home invasion, robbery, auto theft, assault, etc...). Very high unemployment rate. More laws regulating personal freedoms than I care to count. Thats all I can think of at the moment. Im born and raised in Hawaii and seen firsthand my beloved home steadily go down the toilet. I come from a family of democrats. Most people in Hawaii are Democrats by default. The tide is steady turning though. People are getting tired of the same Democrats spouting the same rhetoric "Reform, Reform, Reform". "More govenment programs to help you and your family". "More drug programs to help the drug dependent disease". "More laws to prevent crime". "Lets tax the piss out of big business". "No new taxes". On and on. They never seem to address the root of any problem. Then our elected officials go through scandal after scandal. Non bid government contracts, illegal campaign spending. Its crazy, me and most people in Hawaii are sick of it. How can anyone get ahead in an enviroment like that? Try starting a business in Hawaii. After getting all the proper permits and paying all the fees to the numerous redundent state agencies all you end up with is a license to conduct business in Hawaii. If you dare oppose a state or city official you can count on being singled out. Next thing you know you got the state tax agency all over you and somehow your lease is no longer legit. If you think anything ive said here is untrue go ahead and do the research. Hawaii has had a Repulican Governor for the first time in decades and a woman at that. She is all but ineffective because of the Democrat dominated house. Im sorry but I think the Democrat party has gone from a political group for the people to a party of control freaks that dont care about you or I. They try to please every special interest group without commiting to any of them. Its sad that John "Flap Jack" Kerry is the best the Dems can offer. It wouldnt be so bad if he would take a stand on something and stop trying to please everyone. Oh wait I forgot somehow all this is Bush's fault. Thanks for reading Hawaiian Nightmare

My brother has lived in Hawaii since 1969. He said the other day that it may soon be time to move back to scenic New Jersey.
