Hello all, I'm back, this is a ping, but this is not a renewal of the ping list. Over a year ago I got suspended -- I could log in and out of FR, but couldn't post topics, reply in topics, reply to email, or edit my profile page. A recent renewal of interest in my whereabouts was pointed out to me (see the latest GGG topic) and I tried logging in and replying to email, found it worked.

I very much doubt I'll resume any of the science- and history-related ping list activities, and probably won't post any new topics of any kind, but would appreciate a bump to interesting topics in those categories. Others have picked up the slack and done an admirable job, and I'm all for letting them continue.

The previous posts in this topic are quite large, but have numerous links both to FR topics and outside sources, and all (or almost all) are GGG related. Enjoy!
